All the sects that comprised the Nine Sects were outcomes of the Buddhist or the Taoist tradition, with each of them having its own history and traditions. Their cherished history and tradition, reverence for Taoism, and a sense of homogeneity and solidarity were so profound and firm that Five Great Clans couldn't compare to them. If the Kunlun Sect of Qinghai were to be trampled by the Heavenly Demon Castle, the Murim Alliance, including the Nine Great Sects, would’ve joined forces to counter them.
Shaolin in Henan, Wudang in Hubei, Mount Hua and Zhongnan in Shaanxi, Mount Heng in Hunan, Emei and Qingcheng Sect in Sichuan, Kongtong in Gansu, and even far away Kunlun in the Qinghai.
